Ciao, Tootsie!
My mother (known as “Tootsie” to her 5 grandkids) famously loves anything spicy, as well as salty. Her favorite meal is a cheeseburger and french fries (but with everything, ya know, spicy). When it comes to pizza, however, we go straight for the classics- meat, olives, plenty of cheese, and yes- heat. I drew inspiration from her flavor palate, as well as her Italian heritage. It’s a-spicy meatball (as it were), with the hot Italian sausage playing nicely with the fresh and briny anchovies, sharpness of the spicy (only option for this kit, sorry) tomato sauce, mellowed by the fresh mozzarella.
